 Nesta semana esta acontecendo uma das maiores feiras de jogos do mundo em Columbos(EUA), Ohio, a Origins. Entre outras atividades, a Feira tem como destaque o Origins Awards (Prêmio Origins), uma espécie de Oscar dos Jogos de Lazer.
Conforme divulgamos, o prêmio está em sua 35ª edição este ano, onde foram avaliados os melhores de 2008 nas diversas categorias, presentes por lá concorrentes de peso que sempre prestigiamos dentro das campanhas organizadas pela RPGA como o D&D - Players Handbook 4th Edition e o Star Wars Roleplaying Game: Saga Edition.
Fato é que neste último sábado dia 27 de Junho foram revelados os ganhadores do prêmio, de certa forma uma decepção para Wizards já que nenhum de seus livros ou suplementos de RPG foram premiados, principalmente no que tange a tríade principal de D&D Quarta Edição. Mesmo assim, a subsidiária da Hasbro não saiu de mãos abanando e levou 2 prêmios com as expansões The Clone Wars e Shards of Alara, a primeira para a linha de Star Wars Miniataures e a segunda para o famoso jogo de cartas colecionáveis Magic, além de ver a valorização da marca D&D com a premiação da publicação em HQ de Worlds of Dungeons & Dragons Volume 2 por parte da editora Devil´s Due, abaixo em negrito segue a lista completa de concorrentes e vencedores por categoria: Play By Mail
